SNW-III Type Indoor Fire Hydrant Product Description
Product Introduction: The SNW type indoor fire hydrant is designed in accordance with the standard GB3445-2018 Indoor Fire Hydrant. It retains the appearance, standard interface form, and traditional installation and operation methods of ordinary indoor fire hydrants. On this basis, it adds pressure reducing and stabilizing functions. Regardless of the difference in inlet pressure or fluctuations and changes in pipeline network pressure, its outlet pressure can be reduced and stabilized at the operating pressure value. It is widely used in shopping malls, schools, institutions, residential buildings and other places.

Description
2. Structure
The product is mainly composed of:
- Valve body
- Valve seat
- Valve disc
- Valve stem
- Valve stem nut
- Bonnet sealing gasket
- Bonnet
- Sealing ring
- Handwheel
- Pressure reducing inner sleeve
- Pressure reducing sleeve
- Pressure reducing outer sleeve
- Spring
- KN interface
3. Working Principle
When in use, rotate the handwheel counterclockwise to open the valve disc. Pressurized water flows from the fire hydrant inlet through the orifice of the pressure reducing and stabilizing device, then flows out from the outlet. When the pressure exceeds 0.7MPa, the axial force of the water pressure on the end face of the spring seat pushes the fire hydrant to move outward, compressing the spring to generate elastic force until the water pressure is reduced to achieve the pressure reducing and stabilizing effect.
4. Model Specification and Basic Parameters
表格
| Model Specification | Nominal Diameter DN/mm | Nominal Pressure PN/MPa | Pipe Thread | Thread Depth mm | Closed Height H/mm | Outlet Center Height H/mm |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SNW-III Type | 65 | 1.6 | Rp2½ | 25 | ≤225 | 70~110 |
| Distance from Valve Stem Center to Interface Edge L/mm | Inlet Pressure Mpa | Outlet Pressure Mpa | Flow Rate L/s | |||
| ≤126 | 0.7-1.6 | 0.35-0.45 | ≥5 | |||
5. Installation and Use
The SNW type indoor fire hydrant is installed in the fire hydrant box at a conspicuous location of the building, and is used together with fire hoses and nozzles. In case of a fire alarm, quickly connect the fire hose to the fire hydrant, attach the fire nozzle to the other end, then rotate the fire hydrant handwheel counterclockwise to discharge water and extinguish the fire.
6. Maintenance
- Before installation, the valve must be opened to prevent the valve disc sealing gasket from sticking to the valve seat and causing damage, and it should be placed in a clean place.
- After installation, garbage and impurities in the water channel must be removed. When closing the valve, the valve disc sealing gasket must not be contaminated with sediment, white paint or other impurities.
- After installation, open the valve regularly (generally every half month) to prevent the valve disc sealing gasket from sticking to the valve seat and causing damage.
- Regularly check whether the valve disc sealing gasket is aging or damaged. Replace it in time if damage or water leakage is found.
7. After-sales Service
- If users find any manufacturing quality issues while using this product, please contact our factory with the product in good condition, and we will provide timely service.
- If users need to replace spare parts, please contact our factory, and we will provide spare parts service.
Key Information Interpretation
- Standard Compliance: Strictly follows the national standard GB3445-2018. It has the functions of a conventional fire hydrant and adds pressure reducing and stabilizing features, adapting to fluctuating water pressure requirements in multiple scenarios.
- Core Performance: Nominal diameter of 65mm and nominal pressure of 1.6MPa, compatible with mainstream fire hose interfaces. The outlet pressure is stable at 0.35-0.45MPa, meeting the basic water pressure requirements for fire fighting.
- Maintenance Focus: Regularly opening the valve (every half month) and cleaning impurities on the sealing gasket are core operations to extend service life. The sealing gasket must be replaced in time after damage to ensure operational safety.
